SamsGolfCalculator Operating Instructions

1. Select or Add a course

- To select a course, pulldown the Select Course menu. Click on the course you would like to use. The name of the course will be displayed in the green box under the handicap boxes, and the Par and Handicap columns will be populated.

- To add a new course, pulldown the Add Course menu. Click on Add Course. A new window will pop-up. Firse enter the name of the course name in box a top. Then enter the Par and Handicap of each hole, use the TAB key to move between boxes.

2. View or Adjust the Stableford Scoring System

- To view the Stableford System, pulldown the Options menu. Click on View Stableford. The first column +/- Par indicates a score for a hole, relative to Par, where:

   2 : Double Bogey

   1 : Bogey

   0 : Par

  -1 : Birdie

  -2 : Eagle

So, each type of score has an associated number of points, shown in the Points column.

When all done, click OK.

- To adjust the Stableford System, pulldown the Options menu. Click on Adjust Stableford. The first column +/- Par indicates a score for a hole, relative to Par, where:

  -2 : Double Bogey

  -1 : Bogey

   0 : Par

  -1 : Birdie

  -2 : Eagle

So, each type of score has an associated number of points, shown in the Points column. To adjust the system, click on the box that you would like to change, and type a number.

When all done, click OK.

3. Enter Handicaps

- First enter the Player Handicap. This is the handicap of the player who's score will be entered.

- Second enter the Low Handicap. This is the handicap of the player with the lowest handicap.

4. Enter Gross Score for Each Hole

- In the Gross Score column, click in the first box, for hole # 1. Enter the score for this hole, and press the Enter or Down Arrow key. Note that the Net Score and the Points are calculated. Also the running totals for Gross Score, Net Score, and Points are calculated in the boxes at the bottom of the calculator.

Enter all scores, making sure that you press Enter or Down Arrow for the last hole.

All done, there are you scores!

5. Clear Before Next Player

- Click the red Clear button when your ready to process the next player.

- To process the next player, start at step 3 above.
